Useful And Beautiful

Something for the donation pile
"Have nothing in your houses that you do not know to be useful or believe to be beautiful" ~ William Morris

My stepdaughter and I got an incredible workout today.  In addition to the usual fitness routine, we spent the latter part of the morning moving boxes around and reorganizing.  There was a lot of lifting and stretching, not to mention all the trips up and down the stairs.  Remember my rule, when it comes to working out...it all counts especially where stairs are concerned.
By the end of the week, we should have several bags for the next donation truck to come around be it from the Lupus foundation, the National Children's Center, or well...whomever else calls first.
So, that's where that was...

Where did all this stuff come from?

Its funny, but the original mission was just to locate some DVDs she had stored.  We got started pulling things out and, soon, we were on a roll.  I was decluttering the closets and the storage room.  She was discovering things she hadn't seen for years.  With all the surprises we found in boxes, it was a lot like Christmas morning.  Who knew what we would find?  One thing I know for sure, its a lot of fun finding clothes that are too big on you.  Mmmm..time to go shopping?
My husband and son have know idea, but they will be going through some stuff when they get home too.  As I see it, we are just getting started.  Just like William Morris said, if it isn't useful or beautiful, out it goes.
